An observation of my own interests suggested that a frequent harbinger of nostalgia is the textural references in photographs. Prices, adverts, names, some forgotten some degrading as time passes.

With a friend I put together this community project and found funding to make some celebratory work demonstrating the text "on the wall" so to speak, that was visible in Chudleigh, over the millennium year.

With a small group we photographed many aspects of the town, a rider being that each image had to contain some public text. Within a matter of days of the completion of the project some of these scenes had changed.

The work hangs in the Town Hall in the "stairwell" gallery.
